The purpose of Fort Bend ISD’s Prekindergarten Program is to provide well-trained educators for its prekindergarten students that can prepare students for kindergarten and beyond. Additionally, the district aims to develop families to become partners in their children’s educational experience. Fort Bend ISD commissioned this evaluation to determine whether gaps in the district’s existing prekindergarten services exist and to advise the district on its future prekindergarten instructional outlook. To accomplish this, Dr. Thompson reviewed the program’s archival data as well as previously conducted program evaluations. Additionally, the evaluator analyzed teacher and parent survey data from the current and previous years. Based on findings from this work, we produced a final evaluation report of key findings, highlighting the program’s areas of strength and areas for growth.
