I have been a Research Evaluator for a large-scale school district for the past 4 years. I currently evaluate grant-funded programs that address behavior problems in schools. While attaining my M.S. in Psychology, I worked as a Research Assistant with the US Navy, assessing sources of attrition for enlisted sailors. I have also worked as a Research Assistant specializing in child and family studies, as well as middle school minority education. Upon graduating, I worked as a child and adolescent therapist, a child advocate and a family therapist in several different settings, including in-home counseling, a community mental health center, a high security behavioral health hospital and juvenile court.
While addressing students’ mental health needs, my concern for the alarming educational deficits these youth were experiencing led me to turn my career interests towards education and to obtain my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Memphis. I began utilizing my training in quantitative statistics and knowledge of child and adolescent psychology and theories of learning to work as a Research Evaluator for my local school district in 2007. Since that time, I have become committed to providing in-depth, quality evaluation of programs to provide insight into what works to address your company’s needs.
